BMW officially launches its first rechargeable hybrid car, “BMW X5 xDrive 40e”

BMW officially launched its new hybrid car X5 xDrive40e.it’s a production version of the X5 xDrive trial version that we’ve seen at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in 2013.

This hybrid car is equipped with 4-cylinder 2-liter turbo engine combined with an electric engine connected to a 9 kW / h battery of lithium ions in addition to the automatic gearbox with Steptronic 8 ratios.

As for the 4 cylinder engine, it generates 245 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, while the electric engine generates 113 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque which makes a total of 313 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. This versatile sports car kicks off from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 210 km / h.

X5 xDrive40e can reach a speed of 120 km / h when it strolls on electrical energy and a range of up 31 before the battery discharges, as for fuel consumption it varies between 4/3 and 3/3 liters per 100 km.

The batteries are settled on the trunk floor which offers 500-1720 liters; the batteries are rechargeable on sector but also via a complete solution BMW 360 Electric with “iWallbox” wall outlet.
