I’ve recently found an overseas (ie. chinese) supplier for Lithium high storage packs.
It’s a solid source and after discussing pricing for “test purposes” I can pick up a 9600 kwh pack that weighs in at roughly 112kg for around 1500USD shipped (obviously shared space in a 40’ freight).
Dimensions and rating here:
48v 200Ah (640x2)x360x280mm 112kg with a maximum of 80% reduction at 1000 cycles
They make premade packs up to 250,000 KWHs. (which weigh over 4000 lbs)
Well obviously this has renewed my interest in a Hyundai Tiburon EV conversion (with quite a bit of body panel conversion to fiberglass for weight)
What motor would be best for this?
If I need more voltage I can series 4 48V,50Ah (320x2)x162x230mm 22.4kg batteries from the same company rather than an expensive DC converter? (these are cheaper apparently and for 4 would run less than the 1500USD)
