Goliath Battery Install 2017 Gem

I just wanted to share a quick Performance up tick note. Took the car for a ride yesterday. Came back from a Drive that normally zaps 40 to 50% of the battey. The New battery set up in the car had 94% charge left! WOW!!!

And up the longest steepest hill in the community the car was going 5mph up the hill faster.

I did notice that the new battery is lighter. So the car handles a bit different. It’s to the point where I’m gonna look into a sway bar for the rear.

I don’t know if the Program that I got from Mike is the reason for the UP tick in performance but again another 20 mile ride and had a big smile on my face. The Mid range is just awesome!!!
Example your on a long steep hill and the car just pulls and pulls. And I can tell Im going way faster then I was with my 20 cell and old DVT file! I saw 57mph last night my previous top speed is 55mph. So it gos just a bit faster top end but it gets their quicker. I wish I would have
Recorded my 20 cell battery setup 0-55 MPH speed.

There you go raising the bar again!!!

It would not be possible with out Dave’s help and Mikes file

How much is the 20kw pack?

One million dollars.

Well I finally got the dash display installed and Working. Thank Gawd for YouTUBE. Some user posted a video of installing the Video screen into this Waterproof BMS display case.I would have still been scratching my head on how this thing go’s together. All these plastic washers and spacers and you have to solder some wires to the PC board so you have extra buttons to toggle threw the BMS options Not brain surgery but way more then just putting a PC board in a plastic box.

This $12 outer display case comes from “Jina” no instructions and is kinda a POS. But way better then I wanna make or Re Engineer any ways $12 you can’t expect much.

Nice!! I went with JK BMS one.

It doesn’t show the single cells voltages but I use the app for that.

Im working on a fix to calibrate the original SoC for our lithium conversions but isn’t ready yet

The BMS screen has IMO a not ideal screen read out. The Main Screen I use is good but the other 5 seem to have to much info and it’s crammed in. Here are the 5 different ANT BMS screens you can choose from

How did you mount that? Mine has a ring mount on it?

yes, took that part off and still has a little guide that can be sanded down.

Cool, you have that up and running. Dave sent me one to test but have not taken the time to find a 12v source for it. If I read correctly B+ is to high for that display?

don’t use B+ or youll get a fog machine, learned the hard way. :upside_down_face:

The Status display looks perfect for most everyone’s (avg Jose) and the Cell Voltage tab should quickly point out where odd things might be. I like it!

Isn’t B+ and the top of the first battery the same? Oh wait, these things are wireless so ya they won’t be running from B+ and probably want 12V or 5V.

Screen needs to be powered from 12v

But its a touch screen also, correct? I just wish you did not have to cut a square hole or had other good mounting options. At least now you don’t have to rewire the push buttons to put the screen in a box like the ANT.

You can always cut a round hole and use duct tape.
Hell, no hole and enough duct tape and you’re set.
Duct tape, the second greatest American invention ever…
