Key wires.
Yes, tap into the switched wire. Blue is maybe not big enough.
Wires are smaller on one side of plug I guess.
Still not sure of what you mean. There is an unused starter position #3 spring loaded.
#2 position is on.
Hello, still there? ā¦
This is what I was thinking. It sounds like he may have lost the āhomeā position (being off).
Find the position you remove the key?
Then how many clicks forward to ON?
From Home(OFF) does it also go back one click to ACC?
I think acc is pos 1.
In any case only one pos is used. #2
Yes,
-OFF
-ACC (also ON)
-Spring loaded dumb position (doesnāt do anything) I mean it keeps it ON
Think Iāll call it a night. We can pick it up tomorrow if you get the relay connected to the key switch.
Or check the continuity with the multimeter on the key side.
Flip the key and it should āBeepā
Iām hereā¦ sorryā¦ just trying to make sure Iām doing what weāre thinking. Trying to figure out the switched side between red and orange
This what you had in mind?
Iāll alligator clip to blue.
Also, now that blue is disconnected from the bus bar, the display powers up normally. No solenoid cycling and rebooting.
Yes, tap is switch from key and stays on with key?
I see you found a yellow. I didnāt want to wait for Amazon again.
See if the switched 12v stays on now.
Bought a whole kit
Itās on and nothing wonky. Should I drop the parking brake and see if it will move?
Look for solid green on Sevcon. Then yes .
If it faults notice when.
Fyi, Sevcon all need to start in neutral.
Pb and other safety switches are not connected.
Sevcon isnāt awake. Do I need to complete the circuit with the orange side of the grey wire and hook that up elsewhere. When I go blue to orange with multimeter, itās hunting
Not following. You left everything the same except connected the blue to switch?
Gray wire?
Yesā¦ Orange on the center post. Blue disconnected from the busbar and alligator clipped to the key tap.
If I take a volt reading from blue to orange with the key on, shouldnāt I get 12 volts?
Yes, orange is minus 12v? Then to blue is 12v.
