I have just purchased a 2005 gem it had all gel bat. That were all bad .I installed all new deka acid bat. …the charger is the delta Q charger. I’m I ok or does my charger have to be reprogramed for acid bat.
Yes, the algorithm must be changed for wet batteries. The procedure is covered in the manual below.

thanks again just went out and changed for wet batteries…But what would of happened if i did not change setting from gels to wet ???
I recall that the charge algorithm for wet batteries calls for a higher finish voltage. This would result in wet batteries being undercharged if used with a charger set to a dry battery algorithm. This will not, however damage wet batteries. Just don’t try to charge dry batteries on a charger set for wet. That would result in an overcharge and eventual damage.
