Wetsounds Soundbar install

Ok I’m pretty Sure I wanna do the whole “Add a Group 31 lithium” battery & separate 12 v trickle charger route. Seems like that Route is more Fool proof then Adding a 2nd DC converter & then keeping your fingers crossed your not bouncing off the Amperage limitations of the DC converter. I could see if you were gonna play for Hrs at at time them tapping into my cars giant pack voltage would come in handy. Who knows if that’s the case I can always add a Dc converter to keep the 12v stereo battery charged. The thing a Stereo system can do to a converter is Keep spiking the Current. Example each time the bass Hits it could/would create a draw. I’m not sure if the DC converter was designed to work like that I don’t know enough about them? Adding a 12v battery acts like a shock absorber. When the stereo system would draw current the 12 Battery would answer the call NOT the DC converter, the Stereo battery would take the beating

Hmm. Now does your car already have a 12v battery under the dash? I remember a recall that included installing one. Or did you remove it as part of your mods?

Just thinking if you replaced the existing one with a larger one, there’s your shock absorber. Dc converter would then be your trickle charger. :man_shrugging:

My car has No 12v battery it along with the DC converter they both were removed as a part of my Mods. My car gets its 12v power from The Delta Q charger with the built in DC converter. So you can see Now why I’m eager to get away from using my car’s 12v power from the charger.

I wanted to Run the Wetsounds 10 inch Sub but it’s to Tall. So that would leave me to run the 8inch and I don’t think that 1 8 is gonna do it for me so was think I would run 2 Wetsounds Stealth Self powered subs. Dam they want their money for these . $799 Each new. So when you add up 2 of these we are into to of them with tax at almost $1800. That’s a Hell No! So I was just trying to be lazy and not build a custom box so I’m gonna start Checking FB marketplace, for a Big amp and see what I can come up with. Right now I’m thinking 4-10’s with a 1000- Watt amp

That would be epic.

I have this picture in my head of some punk kid who is overdriving their stock stereo in their in their clapped out accura with a 0 degree carbon fauxber wing, 3 different color body pannels, a loose front clip, an $29 bumble bee exhaust tip. And then Grant pulls up. They laugh at the old man in his “golf cart”…

The light changes and 4 x10" subs and bonus round… electric motors can hit 100% torque instantly.

… shyt gets real. Fast

So I decided to make a Mount on the Steering wheel that will Use magnets to hold the remote on the steering wheel.

Now back to the subs. Seems like there’s quite a trend with people using smaller SUB drivers. When I see smaller. 6.5 & 8 inch. Quite a lot of impressive small drivers on the market. Trying to zero down on what to use. My normal approach to Bass is a JL 12W-7 with a Big Ass 2400 watt amp. but with using a small battery pack I cant do that. So I’m scratching my Head what sub/Amp combo can I come up with that will work with a Smaller battery pack? Plenty of options when Battery power is Not a problem but your options shrink when 12v power is limited. makes me think I may need to go down the DC converter option. I have seen some cool builds with 6 and 8 inch subs in a PVC tube. Kinda like a 80’s Bazooka sub system! What I was originally thinking was a 2 or 4 sub system that looked like what you see under the seat of a king cab truck.

Normally whenever i look, i just find lost tools and some stale potato chips

Hey check out this shop Building this $8000 dollar sub box for this “Ford Raptor R” looks like 2 10’s in a custom Box

I ran a Bazooka in my pickup for years.. they are really good if you can fit it

A bazooka? Fvck… that brings road rage to a whole new level of “Cut me off, will you?”

Nothing to see here, move along… just a drive by rocketing… No, this not a diaorama for national Beruit day… Btw, anyone who finds an index finger, yeah, we’re still looking. It may have landed in Vacaville though…
