Tires for ford think

225/30-14 tires are 19.5" tall, which is what the Ebay ad you posted shows. This was why I made that statement. 19.5" tires with ET-25 offset will not rub without a lift.
I apologize if you’ve changed the tires since the post.

My 225/30/14 are 22.5" tall. I’m measuring the actual tire height using a level and tape measure. Not sure how they came up with 19.5"

Very interesting as all 225/30/14" tires are spec’d at 19.5 inches tall.

So now I’m confused, lol

|Tire size:|225/30-14"| Tire height (ground to top of tire:19.5 inches**|
And looking at your pic they don’t appear to be 22.5" tall

All I can say is that is wrong

I’m not trying to argue, but I’m confused that your 225/30-14 tires are that tall, because when I was looking for tires, your size was one of my choices. But when I found out it was under 20" tall, I wanted to stay as close to the 21x8.5 spec as possible.
I called my buddy at WTI Wholesale Tire, to ask him what he thought. He said a 225/30-14 tire has a sidewall height of 2.7" and a width of 8.9" and if your tire is taller than 19.5" tall, to check the width and sidewall height of your tires, and he would be able to tell you what size tires you actually have. He said it sounds like you may have 215/50-14" tires and if yours show 225/30-14 on the sidewall, it’s possible you got a misprinted tire.

Not arguing just telling you what I have. I’m in Mexico for a few weeks and will measure the side wall when I get back. You must have misunderstood your buddy or he told you wrong as a 250/15-14 would be a lot shorter. The second number is the aspect ratio which is the height so he probably meant 45 which means 45% of the width. The first number is the width. So a 250/45 tire would have a sidewall of 112.5 mm

I made a typo, now corrected. I meant to say 215/50-14, which are 22.5" tall.
