so what kind of motor does the tesla roadster use that allows that huge car to accelerate so fast?

i dont have the technicals but i remember they used 3-phase 4-pole ac-motors but acceleration depends on power and or the transmission gearing , power increases with volts it could/would have a higher voltage pack
