T1 controller programming

Any recommendations on getting a T1 controller programmed? Are there still handheld programmers for rent? I had mine reprogrammed a few years ago. Now I just want to eliminate the 35 mph speed limit I put in place now that my kids have moved out and I’m driving it around town more.

Where are you located?
Do you think your present config will support faster than 35?

California. Yes on the speed. Blue motor. Lithium batteries. Upgraded wheels, disc brakes and shocks for the stopping and stability bits. Way too much money for an E825, but it has sentimental value (late father-in-laws cart).
The issue isn’t so much going over 35. I only want to do 40-ish. But when I drive on the streets, the limiter is always bouncing the cart off of 35, so really you end up driving 33 to keep things smooth, which is too slow on some of the streets around here.

California.

That is still kinda vague. I was trying to determine if you were in range of someone that might still be doing programming on the old GE controllers.

Options:

  • Remove controller and send it in. Try R4F.
  • Having a blue motor might have the possibility of installing a “speed magnet” with half the pulses of a regular magnet. Your speed display will be half lower of actual number on PID.
  • Inwo might build you a Magic Magnet. All you do is plug it into harness. Speed display will not be correct.

Thank you and Livermore/SF Bay Area.

Yeah, I don’t want to do the magnet thing. Would prefer to borrow/rent the programmer or send it in to R4F.
