to the guy with the 12 hours to print pdf 15 minutes to start printing doc

your computer is broken or malfunctioning. ‘no’ document print should take more than a few SECONDS to start printing even on ancient hardware!!!

what are your specs? cpu? ram? OS? printer?

not true, PDF files are weird like that. they have to convert the file for the printer to read it (thus the delay on the printers side) then it will print it as one big file… its like the printer putting together a puzzle while using a rubics cube to sort the peices.

and i need your e-mail address to send the book over to you.

sorry i assumed as a moderator that you could see my address

use: evforum at nerys dot com

also i still need the specs your info is just not correct i have a 233mhz pentium tablet with 64meg of ram running windows 98 and it takes less than a minute to get something going on the printers even the laser printer. windows ‘spools’ the file to the printer there is no ‘reconstructing’ of the pdf in pdf is not even a format. its just a container for other components such as images text docs etc… it sends the file bit by bit. most printers today lack the memory for even 1/2 the page at a time. lasers of the old style can be an exception where they must fully load each page before it can print it therefore limiting what you can print such as imaged.

also add to those specs what software your using to read the pdf’s with
I have a PDF I found online when looking to research some more on electric vehicles, but I dont know if anyone has anywhere that I can host it with so that more of us can use it. It has lots of great info on it, so let me know and I’ll send it accordingly.
This sounds like an interesting document to read but how have all the others that you have sent a copy to indicated its usefulness in the design process of an EV. Yes gas costs are killing most working families when it comes to there earning a living and once you reduce that earning with the cost of fuel to get to and from work you begin to wonder why you travel so far for the job. It is that you can not get a job in your feild of expertise or maybe for other reasons but the end result is you still end up with less in your pockets as energy costs continue to rise.

I would like a copy as well SpaceNutNewMars yahoo.com

sent to both of you, as a moderator i could look to see your e-mail address, but its easier for you to list it.

as far as how much the book helps out… its up to the person… it mostly provides you lots of different formulas and math equasions for the proper power to weight ratios and what not. along with basic ideas for building an EV.

as far as costs… you dont need to build an EV that costs a ton… heck… make an EV bike… thats what i’m doing… i’ll probably spend a grand total of about 1-2K on the whole thing… dont have to worry about the weight problem, and i can drive it in the summer no problems  (saving me at least that much in gas if not more…)

I’ll take a copy please
