I have just recieved my Outlander PHEV 2016. How long before you leave do you start the pre-heat if you would like it to be around 18 degrees inside and if there is a outside temperature around -5?
Does it drain the battery a lot?

You will be plugged in so it won’t take anything out of your battery. Electric only range will be reduced 20/25%, due to the cold, but it only means the petrol engine will kick in sooner. You won’t notice it.
IMHO Plug in Hybrids are the way of the future.
Your 2016 is a big upgrade over previous iterations and it looks better. You will love it
