Major mod to an e825 into a parade float. Consolidation

I will start adding all my mods and pics as I go to this thread so they are not so spread out.
This will not be relevant to most of you but if you want see how it is shaping up over the next year, it will all be here from now on… unless I have generic issues…

Ya know that old song “It’s too late to turn back now”? Harbor Freight portaband saw for the win.

This is going to be a fun project to watch.

Personally, I would set it up to drive from the back, standing up in the cab like a real train.

Are you planning on possibly pulling any cars/wagons behind you?

The plan is to drive from the back. That is why I am moving the rear shocks. There really are no obstructions from the the back to the front, so I am just going to run a tube straight from front to back where I will mount the steering wheel. I would love to find two U joints to match the existing steering ones… That would make it a bit easier than the boat steering hardware. Took me a long time to figure that out…

I am also redoing all the brake lines to put the MC at the back for the brake pedal.
Don’t plan on pulling any cars, at least not yet anyway. I still have to figure out a driver since I have two other parade floats and I drive one of those… ha ha…

Well the rear shock issue has been resolved. Took them out completely. Now I have a place to add the platform for the engineer to drive the train!
Now I need to figure out what to cut off next. For sure the shock aluminum mounts. Probably the riser just above the cross bar will be after that.
