I have the Magic Magnet. It was working for a while until recently.
When I remove the Magic Magnet, the Gem E2 2012 works fine. When I put it back, I have the same issues. I tried this five different times, and the same thing happened.
When I let off the gas when coming to a stop, the car stops as if I put on the brakes. There is no coasting at all. I have no chance to gradually apply the brakes; the Gem just stops.
When I remove the Magic Magnet, the problem goes away.
It swear I responded to this not long ago.
I was waiting for more info.
I think it was via Private Message.
Did you not see it?
Found it.
It weirdly bounced to my external mailbox and was going around in a small group back channel. This went to your gmail account. (possibly filtered to your spam folder? )

Interesting problem.
Let’s get some details.
What controller is in this car?
What motor is in this car?
Has there been any other changes to this car?
What settings are the DIP switches on the MM? (Should be 1 and 3). Did it get wet?
With the Magic Magnet removed, What is your speed display showing related to a GPS speed? (Give a read at 10, 20, 30 GPS)
Then install the MM. Do the same test 10, 20, 30 GPS.
This info may help with ferreting out the issue.
That was not me. Maybe someone has/had the same problem? This just happened and the first time I’m reporting it here.
It is a GEM E2 2012. I have not changed the motor or controller or anything like that.
The MM did not get wet.
It was working with whatever “DIP switches” are on the MM. I am not familiar with “DIP switches”.
My speed shows fine without the MM.
I don’t know what that is. My cart is changed kilometers to work with the MM.
I think you misunderstand. All of the above questions were meant to collect as much info on your setup so an educated/accurate solution can be offered in return.
If you skip over specific questions, then we are forced to guess. The suggestions may not be accurate.

Odd- Suddenly there are two people with this issue within 10 days?
The purpose of having you note the speed is to determine if this is a MM problem, a speed sensor, or a controller issue. Something has changed. Giving the exact numbers it is showing WHEN the effect is happening might point to the cause.
Is this decel effect repeatable/consistent?
Right now, all I can guess is pull off your speed sensor and inspect your magnet. If for some reason your magnet has cracked and your controller thinks you are doing 60mph, it might be applying tons of decel to slow you down.
Post a pic of your MM install. Maybe I can spot what is going on.
