How do I replace bulb in license plate light. Have 1999 gem e580 48v.
I imagine the bulb is actually a standard auto 12V bulb driven by the onboard DC-DC converter. If so you should be able to simply remove the cover, pull out the bulb and replace it.

The cover is the problem. Does it just pull off

That particular question I can’t answer. If the whole bracket comes off, it may be that the screws holding the cover are accessible from the rear of the bracket when it’s off the vehicle.
