Just ran on to your question today. My electric cost is $6.00 per KWhr, but has increased some since I did calculation.
2002 e825 short bed- 3600 miles. 7.5 hp, supercharger, 14 in tires- 40 mph w/ Trojan fla.
2016 GEM E4 - AC conversation- Tesla battery. 300 miles
2016 Tesla Model S - 20K miles
2018 Tesla Model 3 - 34K miles
Just purchased a 2002 E825 with 4,525 miles on it.
Tesla 356 miles. I will update more after todays trip
I just a found a broken 06 Police E2 and when i made it back alive. it says 37500 milesā¦ is this possible? I have owned dozens or more gemsā¦ most have low low mileage, 1K 2K
This must be a record? haha Thanks
The mileage may be correct. In which case it may be better off used as a parts carā¦
Say they used it for parking enforcement, drive around all day at slow speed, keeping a GEM under 10-ish mph and it doesnāt draw on the batteries too hard. 15-18 miles a day for 300-ish days a year for 7 years will get you around to 37k.
My first GEM was an 02 I bought from a college bus transit mechanics shop about 8 or 9 years ago it had been sitting for a few years when I bought it, but they put about 15k on it in 8 years IIRC. Everything was worn out, busted or about to fail.
Hopefully the PD took better care of theirs.
I got two E2 and they are in great shape always stored inside Just bald tires and dead batts. they both are running now
If you havenāt already done so, it would be a good idea to check the motor bearing(s), brushes and commutator.
