Another example 2013+ Gems came with âshaferâ brand transmissions they were a (Dana Spicer) copy. You could not use parts from a Spicer in a Shafer and so on

Comex brand. And this is why I donât do phone. 
For everybodys information the correct length of the shaft only is 15 and 3/4 inches with a 1/4 thick washer fitted on outboard CV joint as a spacer. This is a 10.35 transmission. I would also be willing to go thru the box to try and determine the whine.

How is the shaft measured? The solid shaft or the compressed assembly?
Also, what is the spacer for?
The solid shaft 15 3/4
the 1/4 spacer moves the joint inward on the hub because there was a concern of thread length being too long on the 2016 hub which is narrower. Possibly not necessary. but if omitted would require change shaft length.
I was at a disadvantage because I didnât have a cart to develop the shafts on. Mike would fit what I sent then report back and I would make changes. The reason Length is so critical is because the joints have limited travel. Cant be too long or to short. Getting the manufacturing process down to where the shafts were strong enough took 3 tries. The 2nd one is still out there some where but I lost track of it.

I believe that Rodney is correct on the length. I thought the whine could be coming from the half shafts and I took a swing at shorting them up. I was way too short.
15.75" should be the length of the solid shaft spline end to spline end.

If your putting this in a classic or a late model keep me informed. I have an avid interest in where and how my products are used. We know the transmission can handle the speed but donât know at how hig a speed. The 6 to 1 gears were used in EZGO carts years ago. I can still get the dear set.
