HELP! - Leaking spline shaft after Lithium upgrade and new spline shaft kit installed

Remove the rubber plug in the cover on the gearbox and pump out as much of the old oil as you can and refill it with new. It’s surprizing how little it takes. I think it’s about 12 oz. Fill to the bottom of the hole.

Gem uses 30 weight to get the most range out of the batteries. Most of us use 90 weight cause it makes us feel good and some claim it reduces whine.

Installing a New (Used) Transmission

Hey I got my new USED 10:35 transmission. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for Pre Install. The Input shaft is good, And Im installing new Input shaft bearings & seal & New Motor rubber bumper, Was wondering what the recommended gear oil should be? and How much of it, Should I take off the diff cover & clean it all out or just replace the oil and call it a day? Transaxle seal replacement

I just purchased a 2002 Gem car. It ran good when I test drove it but as soon as I backed it off the trailer the motor started smoking. I ordered another one but they said to replace the transaxle seal. Any recommendations?
