Heater switch

I would go Double pole single throw since there is only an on/off function required

What say you?

If you wire like original. DPDT
One way is fan only. Other way is fan and heat.
IMHO

I’ll buy that

Got a part description and source?

Radio shack has a switch I used to use in heavy duty 36vdc operation. It’s only rated 12vdc, but that should be fine.
1/4"qc terminals. Plug in swap.

So - how about one of your neat little schematics?

I think it’s a controller board.

Thanks,
Jeff

This will not work the way I suggested, but I found it while researching switches, and don’t want to lose track.

A 20A switch rated 125vdc.

I’m not buying it. Yet I contacted the manufacturer and verified it.

Hello Dave.

The DC rating on this product is the same as the AC rating for both voltage and amperage.

Not my best work.

I’d still like to get my hands on the old switch.

Agree How about running it around the track again and label connections. Other people are having the same problem, Once this proves out it will probably be a good project for the DIY section.

Thanks guys, Do you need anything from me? What “ringing” the switch?

Thanks,
Jeff

Another way to say continuity check or ohms check.

You would check for connections between all combinations of terminals.
Then hold switch in other positions and do the same thing.

In a standard switch it’s obvious. This one is a puzzle.

Those middle two terminals could connect in many different ways.

Yes I think that since were doing problems at long distance without schematics, and this is a significant problem for other people it would be GREAT if you sent the old switch to Inwo after your operating again. We can learn a lot by analyzing the switch configuration.

Rodney

How about this.

This wouldn’t need a ground?

I will send the switch just shoot me your address.

Thanks,
Jeff

If it works as I hope. A 3PDT switch might make an exact swap. But at this point. Who knows?

Not if it works the way we think. The ground would be for the input to circuit board thru the switch.

I’ll know more when I see the switch.

Check pm.

I think we could probably have worked together

Thank you,
I jump from forum to forum depending on my interest at the time.
I must say you are a friendly bunch.

Any chance it was an illuminated switch.

I keep thinking, why the ground?
