Here is the complete diagram.
??? Does that mean it lights an indicator. 12 volts+ switched to ground could prove interesting.
The center two terminals are isolated connections to a 12v incandescent bulb.
It mechanically changes color when powered.
Red-clear-green for position 1-2-3.
I have sent a sample request to the manufacturer.
Similar switch is available from distributor for $25 each. Minimum quantity of 15.
But 24 volt bulb.
If I could buy a single sample, then see how bright it is on 12vdc.
I can also check to see if it is possible to change bulb to led or 12v.
A marine switch is similar. Just a single color light. Red is common.
>$25 retail.
Might be bright enough at night with the stock bulb
Vendor and model #??
When you get it figured we need to get it on Daniels list.
How about this one?
Looks good.
Only difference is red-white-red rather than red-white-green.
Very small change.
Do a search for that part number and you will find lower prices.
That one does not list it as DPDT.
Other ones do, but does not say illuminated.
Now to find one that is both and best price.
Same part number, but you never know if they don’t say.
Thanks guys. As soon as you figure out what switch I need I’ll order it up and try it out.
Jeff
Here is one with the right description and DPDT, but the wrong picture.
Finally, one with the correct picture, description, and DPDT.
Sierra Switch-Toggle On-Off-On Dpdt - Star Marine Depot
Long trip but we won one guys.
Ordered the switch from Star Marine.
Thanks,
Jeff
I may still find the exact one.
There is a $50 minimum, buying direct thru Carling.
Small quantities are $25 each for exact switch.
I could get a free sample, but I’d have to lie about application.
I’d need to buy at least two.
Need an account which I have.
If anyone else wants one, I’ll order them.
Got the Sierra Switch today. It’s plug and play, works perfectly. Thanks for all of your work guys.
Thanks,
Jeff
