I dont know what that black part is,hope you can say 
…Are the black rectangles in the upper part of the picture connection points or electronic chips?..
I did it! can’t hardly believe it, but I fixed it! Decided to take a chance and take it apart to see what, if anything I could do. There two sets of brushes as you can see in “Gem e2’s” photo that slide on the curved contact path. The two on the left had some grease on them and the other two didn’t, so I took a Q-tip and cleaned it off and put it back together not really expecting it to work, but it did. Don’t know how long it’ll keep working bu for now I’m a happy camper!
