The fact that a Home Owners Association (HOA) in downtown Denver questioned a residents choice to park her electric vehicle in her own garage has highlighted a lack of legislation across the board. Initially there were safety concerns about the vehicle although the ruling was overturned when an attorney stepped forward to confirm there was more chance of a fire with a gasoline powered vehicle.
Over the next couple of years we should see the introduction of new legislation with regards to recharging stations, safety and the obligations and liabilities associated with HOAs and other such organisations. Do you think legislation is behind the curve of electric car use?
