Should the emergency services receive extra training to tackle electric vehicle accid

The press has recently been full of comments regarding the emergency services and the potential dangers of attending electric car accidents. There is concern that not only could the metal body of an electric vehicle become electrified but there is also concern about how the vehicle itself will react to water/foam used to douse any fire.

Again, these are very legitimate safety concerns and in many ways we should be grateful that they are being expressed at such an early stage in the development of electric vehicle market. Would you feel safe helping the victim of an accident involving an electric vehicle?
