Im looking to build a small boat. Im fairly open to design and plan on designing it myself or altering some plans (preferably Hydro or Cat). I was looking at gas, but I think I can make it faster with Electric 
I know this has been the case in the model RC boats. Would love to apply the same to a real boat.
I have no clue where to start finding motors, proper sizing, controlling of said motors, etc.
My first goal is to get a rough idea of cost. Im on a fairly limited budget, so I need to buy used Im sure.
If anyone could be of assistance I would appreciate it.
