Here is the finished product
Make a template for the back board. I’ll buy one from you.
Makes my plywood look like crap.
I have these screws if you need them.
Way too easy. Terminal clearance?
Terminal Clearance!!! It’s gonna work.
Only thing is I’m gonna have to make a New seat support because when the battery is kicked out towards the plastic (so the battery can lay back) it covers up the spot where the factory seat support go’s O well it’s a small price to pay for how things have gone this far. I can’t believe how smooth this things slid in with just me and the lift. It was so easy.
I cut the bottom leg off, intending to build new. Once I bolted it back in from aluminum to front fiberglass, called it good.
I did have to notch for top corner of battery. You may not have to.
It’s ALIVE
All hooked up going for a test ride now
How about an update in case you don’t get back from the ride?
INWO , look what you started . Grants probably out testing range , based on the size of that pack might be a day or two until he reports back !
Grant , nice work !
I’m just cleaning up wires now. The Blue car was hella fast. This one with 80v seems like a stock gem compaired to the Blue car. Running 98v man that thing was fast.
But I can already tell the rang in this is gonna be huge. Is a compromise I’m willing to accept now. I’m super happy with the battery and install.
Thanks Dave you have been a great help. Im getting back to work now
Only need to find one more Bolt to have 3 pcs 8s modules. Should I hang on to the 2 pcs I have?
I figure that I will only need to charge mine semiannual.
Here is what the end install looked like. I’m calling it a day. I’m gonna go take a swim in the lake. 95 all day today HOT HOT HOT
You can see power comes in from the passenger side I mounted the fuse on the plastic. (Passenger side rear passenger) then the red B+ cable go’s all the way to drivers side. B- comes in Drivers side and go’s up to the shunt .(Drivers side rear passenger) and then go’s across to pretty much dead center of the batter for B-
super slick. nice work.
