Battery Question

What is the difference between “deep cycle” and “marine” lead acid batteries?

In short…A Marine battery is like a deep cycle but still a starting battery. They can put out ALOT of amps FAST and still have a deep cycles style of slow rate discharge…

A true Deep Cycle battery is made to be discharged to very low levels and still be ok over and over. As far as I know thay can’t put out as many amps FAST like a starting battery can but can put out a good amount for long periods of time…

A Marine battery can be discharged to low levels but not as low or as many times and still bounce back…

Go with a full Deep Cycle type battery for an EV…

A marine battery is built to take the pounding and jarring of a boat blasting through waves without falling apart internally.
