My 2001 GEM has new batteries, I drove it two days with charging each night and now it’s dead and 8888 is displayed on the screen. Any thoughts or suggestions?
search for 8888 and read up on if any of those match your problem. There are many posts mentioning 8888 on the display.
You are probably out of plutonium.
Seek out a Mr Fusion adapter/processor and the thing will run on basically garbage.

Never mind.
Check coms cable from dash to controller.
Reset controller by cycling power.
