36V Controller Issues

Have a 36v scooter that blew the chinese controller. I have upgraded the stock 300w hub motor with a currie 1000w motor which I have received 2 defective controllers. Both put out 18v instead of 36v. I am debating on upgrading to an alltrax 4834 to run a dual setup. Anyone tried this setup or had issues with chinese controllers? I need to get riding again. Miss not paying for gas.

Everyone has had problems with cheap Chinese controllers if you work with them long enough. I suggest looking at Kelly controllers before going to a alltrax

kelly is chinese, alltrax is located in Oregon… and have a well proven track record, and proven power capabilities. They’ve been doing it for years, whereas kelly has launched less than 8 months ago?

Kelly has neither a good record or proven power capabilities.

Never heard anything bad about alltrax. I would rather spend the extra money on american with the proven record. For this project it is overkill anyway. Thanks for the info.
