Man I thought I knew of all the factory GEM options. Just the other day I found out Back up or Reverse lights are “a thing” I sold a car to a Guy in San Diego (james) hopefully he will show up in this thread. He said. Hey Grant ever heard of Reverse lights? I was like Nope! Never seen them on a GEM. He said he had driven GEM cars with Reverse lights! I was like What?
When you think about it makes total Sense. The rear bumper has the cutouts or recess for back up lights And the factory wire harness has power connections for reverse lights. So why have I not seen them on the gem build a Car website or even in the wild? O well. So with that out of the Way James found some factory GEM reverse lights on EBay & yes they are a thing. I have been educated. Gem of Miami has them for $168 bucks each
I’m not sure when they started pre wiring for them but i think it was Byron who mentioned to me that my 2010 had wiring in the harbess for it. I had the eL so i just went with the oval truck lights that had a backip light strip in middle
My em1400 has it too i think it heven has a tag on it labeled back up or something. Its a single light under the center of the tailgate. By the livense plate
