Depending on where you are. Have you consulted your local dealer on this issue?
Some will not do it. Some will. Parts coming from the new owners (waev) seem to be difficult to get.
Do your research carefully.
A member(I think it was here) recently managed to talk his dealer into doing this recall/update/converter swap, but it took months to get the parts, about the same to perform the swap, and now the dealer refuses to release the car without being paid for his time which was something like $450. For a free swap?
Depending on your talent levels you could probably do the same thing and maybe spend $150 in parts.
