‘11 Gem e2 accelerator pinout

Sorry, I was gone over the wknd. I installed the pedal. Took the motor out last night like you recommended and pulled the brushes out. One of them had some crud so it was stuck. Overall they looked good to me, minus the one being stuck. No Big chunks missing or anything. Motor itself was clean, no oil leaking on the drive side.
Checked voltage at connector and had 5v. I used small pins to check.
Upon trying it out after install got code 21. Wiggled the 23 pin connector and that cleared the code. Took it for a spin- no hesitation at first. I Kept stopping and starting and would get code 82.
So to summarize I’m thinking
1.connection issue at 23 pin plug for code 21.
2. Motor brush stuck may of caused some issue?
3. Possible speed sensor issue for code 82? Which I’ll have to test tonight.
Thoughts?

Yep- Good ol’ solution a

  1. Motor brush stuck may of caused some issue?

The way the motor is wound, it has 2 sets of field coils, and two sets of armature brushes clocked 90°. You basicaly have two motors in the same package.

If one brush is not making good contact, then you lose half of your motor. It might have been a marginal connection which appeared as stumbling under accel in your original observation.

OK, Back to the speed sensor.
