Have a 2001 E-825 with old style PWB Board and a Zivan charger. Installed new batteries and got a A/C plug for it. All was working fine and now the fan is only running maybe 5sec and stops?
Sometimes fan won’t come on at all. I can spin fan freely by hand or compressed air with no problem. Could the fan be bad? Anyone experienced this? My 1st GEM Car
Plugged in again came on and then a hissing sound and then some smoke so I unplugged it. Have it off cart but cannot see where there’s any burn spots?
Sounds like a cap may have vented. Look at all the silver tops on the little round cans. They usually have a crease that introduces a weak part line on the top to allow for venting of excess gasses.
I bet one now has a peak along that line and a gap where the smoke got let out.
I have a 2002 E825 with the exact problem. Sometimes when I plug it in, I hear the fan start up. Sometimes if the fan starts it will slow and then stop after 1-5 minutes. Sometimes I have to plug it in several times before the fan starts. It acts like the fan is tired. Can the fans be replaced? Help please.
