A mechanic friend suggested that I replace the 30w oil in the transmission of my 2005 e2 with a hypoid type oil generally used in differentials. He felt they performed better under the pressure of gears mating. Does his suggestion make sense. Cart is only used during summer.
Yeah, most of us here use 80-90w gear oil or thereabouts . Runs quieter. The 30w spec was for squeezing more range our of the battery pack.
