Wow , This month marks the 5th anniversary of my first lithium conversion . Brings back some good memories trying to figure all this out . People told me it wouldn’t work and I would ruin my Gem . Have learned a lot since then . Done a bunch of conversions and have used 4 different types of cells . Started with NMC , Then LTO , Then LFP and now I’m full circle and with NMC . I have multiple cars but drive my Gem more than all combined .

It comes down to performance , price and effort .
option 1 : LFP cells like INWO sells . Easy install , 20 + mile range depending on application . Support from Dave . about $1300.
option 2 : buy LFP cells from random supplier . higher effort ( you will have to design install ) No support . You can buy larger sizes for longer range . Price 1800 - $3,000 .
option 3 : buy used cells out of an Ev . Chevy volt , nissan , etc . Much bigger effort . You have to design system or copy one that others here have done . Crap shoot on condition . Can be the cheapest of all options .
option 4 : I sell the Bolt battery packs , easy install , super long range . Support from Kinghappy . Cost $2,200 . Inwo , Gwest , RS_E6 , Kinghappy and others run these in their personal Gems . AND you get the cool Lithium Sticker !
