i have a 2003 gem e6 - i replaced all my batteries with new gel batteries a few weeks ago and upgraded to the super charger and replaced my original zivian charger , i think thats what it was called …
i ran the car no problems the first day and per my mechanics suggestion i ran it all the way down to about 20% … i noticed a little corrosion build up within the first 2 weeks one one of the back batteries next to the charging outlet.
i let the car charge and followed the charger numbers until the charger read 100% and flashed green - i then took it for a test drive on my first ride at 100% the car backed up fine then when i went to drive it i heard a clicking sound and lost power- i followed the clicking noise to the terminal that had starting corroding and saw large sparks shooting of the terminal. i pushed the car back cleaned the terminals with the main power off and tried again after tightening and cleaning the terminal cable - the sparks after starting now shoot out higher and more frequent . i have no idea what the problem is the batteries and charger are all less than a month old . any ideas ?
