In fact while browsing through this forum I found a similar thread quite old Repairing GEM Hard Doors
I have a 2005 with hard doors and they opened from the inside and not the outside. GEM engineered the mechanism to rust and seize over time so you pull harder and it ends up breaking something. I replace the lines that connect the inside handle to the outside handle with bicycle break lines. This fix won’t trap water as easy in the line and has worked great. Hope this helps
