When I went from stock to 17" wheel the rear spat would no longer fit either the wheel height or the overall tire width. I removed the rear spat but that left the batteries exposed and no place for lights. I will make a new bed soon but I wanted something temporary that looked good and functioned to cover and protect the batteries.
Enter a sheet of stainless steel, a metal break and 45 min later…
I will add some S/S trailer fenders next week, Some S/S pop rivets and a drill with a scuffing pad and it will be done.
I will trim this around the new bed if needed once I decide to start building that.
