So a few weeks back It was a Rain day here in Ca and I decided to play in my Man cave. I found a $9 plexi BMW emblem back lit Badge it was so cheep and No way would this have lasted past the first 1-2 car washes

Yes the factory Gem emblem fits inside but trust me it’s a JOKE. It was a waste of $9 and I bought 2 so Shame on Me :slight_smile:
But that got my Juices Flowing. Next stop Tap plastics. They wanted $160 to cut a single 3/4 inch plexy circle. no thanks straight to face book Market place. Where I found 3 big Pieces of 1 inch thick Clear Plexi for only $20 Cha Ching $

So after my marketplace score I used a Whole saw with the center bit removed and placed it in my drill press adjustable vice and made my own

Then I used another hole saw to create the back side channel where the Color changing RGBs would be

I wanted the center of the emblem to light up WHITE so I had to run a different set of White Only LEDs to light up the center

Then I had to turn to my Baby Brother for some 3D printer help for the front Emblem

Then he came up with a better emblem design One with a Thin outer ring.

So I got it all wired up and siliconed and just waiting to install it on the car. My brother had some cool RC car battery terminals to power this up.

B4 Gem cars I used to do this kinda stuff all the time. It’s fun to go back in time and play 2002.

Are you selling them and if so how much. Also can you make one that flashes different colors?

I would sell them And yes the LED’s flash all the different colors. Depending on what you wanna do they even have Bluetooth controllers and you can change colors/ patterns with your phone or a remote,

I had not really thought how much I would charge for them. I have to figure out how to make them Faster cause they take a while to make

1 side of me says $150 that’s a lot for a “Plastic LED emblem”, But the other side of me says, for $150 and all the work & materials No thanks :slight_smile:

Buy the way 1back up light from GEM costs $169 LOL and yes you need 2 of them!
