i’m trying to figure out how many modules i would need for a 2007 gem.
the 62kwh leaf battery comes with 3 module sizes - 27 cell, 21 cell, and 12 cell. it has a total of 288 cells. i have no idea which part of this information is relevant, i just was told that if i was getting an 8 cell module from the 40kwh battery, i would need 6. and i don’t know if there’s more to these modules than what i have so far. volts, wh, ah, etc.
The leaf cells have changed over the years with the newer ones being better and higher ah at just over 56 ah. You should be trying to get a 2018 or above pack with high soh. Most that you see on eBay are at the end of their life with low soh. You will need a minimum of 10 modules as leaf’s have two cells per module giving you a 20s pack. This should put you in the 15-20 mile range. So if you want to go further you would need 20 modules or even 30.
