I thought I would put this up for anyone else who is looking to do a deep clean of their Gem seats, good for pest removal also.
The rear seat back of the E4 has two self tapping bolts located at the bottom of the seat where it meets the battery tray. but for the two upper screws you must remove the tail lamp covers and take out the long screws shown in the photo below.
