I have an 02 Gem e825 . Does anyone know why after every time I charge the batteries the car will lurch and hesitate for a few seconds when first ran. After that, It runs fine. I have the 9 battery 72 volt upgrade running a Ride For Fun motor.

Stuck brushes? Maybe when the car sits they stick and it takes some movement to free them up.

The motor has seen minimal use probably 300 miles at most. Would the brushes stick with so few miles?
I think it’s more the sitting that causes them to stick. Ambient conditions might contribute to it too. If you remove the guard you should be able to move the brushes by hand.
