The launch of the electric tuk-tuk has certainly captured the attention of the media around the world although the cost, at US$6000, it is not cheap in the short term compared to its gas powered counterpart. However, Terra Motors, the creator of this electric tuk-tuk, already has an order to replace 100,000 gas powered tuk-tuks in the Philippines.
