Duffy boat

kINGHAPPY, DAVE, WHOEVER.

Bought a 18’ Duffy Electric boat. I’ll be keeping this puppy so need to figure out a turn key lithium package. 36 volts.

Looking for range as the top speed is only 6 MPH. GC batteries said to give 6 hours of operation.

Willing to give up marvelous technical gadgets for simplicity and minimum component count.

What ah are the GC?
Is that enough?
What will the controller accept? For max voltage.
What is max current draw? Or hp.
The charger your sending me?

If money was no object.
Drop-in lead acid replacement.
I was offered MN. dist. for these. About %40 off. Still too rich for me.
Actual turn-key.

Gulp, Ack, Cough, Choke

What ah are the GC? 105

Is that enough? No

What will the controller accept? For max voltage. ???

What is max current draw? Or hp. 3HP

The charger your sending me? China built electronic. 36 volt 18 amp

Will check out controller tomorrow.

Ok, now we have a price point!

On the other end of the scale. I will give you 16 X 60ah pouches. 36v nominal. 24v to 44v range.

Actually a good option if you need less than 100amps.

My 48v pack:

It’ll be hard to beat the leaf cells.
Need 10 I think. 2 of these.

My goals

Battery pack to outlast me. I’m 76

I already have 105 amps. Would like to increase that.

Would like to use regular flooded charger. The one your going to fix for me.

100ah lithium will be more than 100ah lead.
If you can make 44v work, this is what I have in my Gem.
It’s two 44v batteries.
One will give you 100ah @ 44v nominal.
Neatest package best bang for buck.
I have one you can test if you don’t mind shipping both ways.

Don’t have paperwork yet. Drive train parts on order. Hope to have in water in 2 weeks.

Will get make and model of controller tomorrow or next day. i’m buried in work right now.

Let me know. The volt packs are neat. No assembly needed.
The only draw back is that they are assembled in 6packs and 12packs.
If you can make them work it’s a good deal.
