Many of those against the electric vehicle market have suggested that EV batteries will need replaced and could potentially cost more than the vehicle itself. While there were certainly issues with older battery technology in years gone by this is not the case today. Electric vehicle batteries today will outlast the life of the vehicle itself therefore eliminating the need to be replaced. It is also worth noting that the cost of electric vehicle batteries continues to fall.
There is research going on to how best to utilize obsolete EV batteries after the vehicle is retired. It has been estimated by some engineers that they will still be at 70+ percent.Possible solar power bank usage???
I also read somewhere that they can be used to store power for the nation grid and then feed it back in when required?
