Comp I’ve got to think you are thinking backwards on this. Lower gear ratio would require less HP demand, from the motor but higher RPM. The 9" “ford style” is needed only to accommodate the large ring gear of the 526’s.
This setup would give you about a 76 MPH top speed @ 4500 RPM with 30" tires. The 4.56 would give you about 88 MPH.
