I have an older GEM (~2000). A local shop installed a new or refurbished controller and I am still having problems (error code 24). Are there particular shops or suppliers that provide the best controllers for this type of GEM? Appreciate any help. Thanks, Dave
Check and see what controller you have first and report back. Some early cars are 48 volt and use a controller in mot familiar with. Newer cars are 72volt and use a GE- T-1 controller. Later cars like 2002 use a T-2.
I would recommend upgrading and converting your car to a T-2 controller. People have had better luck with the T-2’s
You can buy a Rebuilt T-2 controller directly from Ride For Fun. You can buy a used or rebuilt controller on Ebay.
