Considering converting a 94 Dodge Shadow

My family has a 94 Dodge Shadow that’s been sitting in our driveway for two years and I’m considering converting it to electric.

I’d like to get 100 miles on a charge, but at minimum 40.

Has anyone here converted one of these?

Check out Austin EV http://evalbum.austinev.org/type I am sure you will find this car, or a similar one that has been converted. there are a ton of interesting conversions there, Eric

I saw a 93 Shadow there, that gets 40 miles per charge :stuck_out_tongue:

Hmmm…

40 miles may not seem that great, but once converted, all that has to be changed in the future is the batteries to extend the range down the road. Batteries will only get smaller, lighter, and cheaper in the future. Despite the best efforts of big oil, ETC. to stop this

Well, like I said, 40 is my minimum.

I read about http://ecomodder.com/blog/2008/01/30/a-672-electric-car/ , which cost $672, so if I do that and get more, and better, batteries I could get my 40 miles range for maybe around $1500 ?

you could get a 40 mile range for taht much, but you arent going to be going faster thatn 40mph
