Before and after wheels and paint

Did a quickie krylon fusion paint on the 4 seater ($100 paint and sandpaper), and put on these Mazda mx-3 wheels and tires that I got on marketplace for $100 total. I’m going to paint the trunk to match. I ALREADY KNOW I COULD HAVE DONE A MORE EXPENSIVE PAINT JOB! it’s more than good enough for us. Had to drill out the holes on wheels a 1/16" to fit the lugs and then buy 2" spacers (another $100 on Amazon for 4). I’m starting to really like these things. I put in new micro switches in ebrake and throttle pedal (like $15 for 6 of them on amazon), and now it (yellow one) runs like a champ. Next step is building a lithium lifepo4 battery for the red one, and some disc brakes (gonna go with mx-3 rotors and parts from rockauto). We’ll see how that goes.

Iron phosphate don’t do the cold well at all. If there is any chance that it may wind up in colder weather, go with lithium ion

I’m in the desert so no cold weather, and I really like the lifepo4 due to fire safety.

I get it. We are full time RV ers and we spend a good portion of the year on Wyoming. Probably the main reason I’ve stuck with lead acid.

A flame job would look really cool on those gems

I see where you are going there…
