I need assistance of where to connect the leads to the battery meter/gauge. I have a 2000 GEM car… I have changed the charger to a Quick Charge charger. I am just not sure where to connect the wires so I get the 72 v readings.
Just a guess but since I don’t think you would want the meter on all the time, connecting one side to output of the big contactor(maybe off the fusable link ) and the other to Battery -.
Look at the schematic and see if anything floats your boat. Or you can just connect across the batteries, with a fuse at the battery connection and put an isolated switch on it to turn it on/off.
I’m doing something similar for my ‘07. Easiest method would be to go directly to the batteries and have it on all the time. I’m thinking the battery drain would be negligible for a digital meter.
