First number is type, second is model, third is Amp rating at 20 hours, forth is volts, fifth sixth and seventh are L x W x H and eighth is weight.
When considering aftermarket batteries you need to look at the TYPE, AMPS at 20 hours and WEIGHT. If some one is trying to sell you a 260 amp battery and it only weighs 60 pounds – RUN.
East Penn and Johnson Controls all make Comparable batteries that are equivalent to the Trojan in size, type, and capacity. All battery manufacturers furnish private label batteries to many sources.
Battery sellers price the battery to suit their profit margin. The exact same battery can be priced twice as much as the same model from a different seller.
Ask the seller who manufactured the battery and match the specs to this information so you don’t get cheated. High amp rating and heavy weight is GOOD!
