How many a/hrs should I aim for. The motor is in a boat and will be running for 20-30minutes. 72v motor.
Will I be ok with 6 45-60a 12v batteries?

what kind of boat? more Ah=more range, more V=more speed. I’d err on the side of excess, you’ll be surprised how quickly you can burn through power on the 12v batteries.
